Celtic Keeping Close Eye on Premier League Club's Goalkeeper

It looks like Celtic are interested in the Bournemouth goalkeeper, currently impressing out on loan.

Celtic need to replace Joe Hart as their number one goalkeeper sooner or later. The Englishman has held the first-team gloves since joining in the summer of 2021 from Tottenham Hotspur.

Hart has certainly revitalised his career at Celtic Park. When he joined the club, most people had believed that his time as a first-choice goalkeeper was over.

Having played a part in five trophy wins in two seasons, Hart quite clearly had a lot left in the tank. His current contract runs out next summer though, by which time he will be 37 years old.

Also, his recent performances have received a lot of criticism from the club's supporters. So, it might be time for Celtic to look to part ways with Hart and look for a long-term solution between the posts.

Will Dennis is currently on loan at Kilmarnock from Bournemouth. The English goalkeeper has been very impressive this season and a move to Glasgow might be on the cards for the 23-year-old.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers and Celtic are both keeping close tabs on Dennis. The scouting teams of both clubs have the 23-year-old on their radar.

Kilmarnock have been one of the best defensive sides in Scotland this season. Dennis has been a key part in ensuring that.

Dennis' current deal with Bournemouth is believed to be running out next summer. That means that it is possible that he could be available as a free agent.

While Dennis might not be the most high-profile signing, he could be a smart addition to this team. Whether he is good enough to be the first-choice goalkeeper for Celtic is a different discussion altogether.

Celtic fans would surely prefer for the club to go for a proven option. But it looks like Dennis is also on the Hoops' wish list.
