Celtic have had an inconsistent season so far. No week was it more evident than this one. Just some days ago, Brendan Rodgers' side lost 6-0 away at the Metropolitano Stadium at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

They followed that result up with a 6-0 win over Aberdeen. It is starting to feel like a roller-coaster ride for sure.

Barely any of Celtic's summer signings have made an impact since coming in. But one player who certainly appears to have won himself a place in Brendan Rodgers' starting XI is Luis Palma.

There were many question marks over Palma and most people believed that he was not good enough to be Jota's replacement. A lot of those opinions might have changed by now.

Palma has been excellent so far, scoring some brilliant goals and setting up several for his Celtic teammates as well. He certainly looks like a very effective winger.

The Jota comparisons might be a bit premature and they are different types of players. But in terms of output in the final third, Palma certainly appears to be someone who can match the Portuguese winger.

In fact, his international teammates already seem to be looking ahead to a future transfer move. According to Diez, Andy Najar said:

"Palma is breaking it, I hope he continues like this, he is going to join a better team, a better league and continue scoring more goals in the Champions League. We want him to come here and score here too, we hope for those goals from Luis."

Of course, Celtic fans will not be happy with those comments, especially months into Palma's Parkhead career. That being said, if he continues to perform like this, most will recognise that a transfer would become inevitable.

Palma does have a contract with Celtic until the summer of 2028. So, it would take a significant transfer fee, maybe even a Scottish record-breaking one, to convince the Premiership champions to part ways with the Honduran international winger.
